in the country. but drivers across the u.s. are catching up. and over the next 12 years every new car will become more fuel efficient thanks to an agreement that president obama struck with 13 automakers including detroit's big three. >> the companies here today have endorsed our plan to continue increasing the mileage on their cars and trucks over the next 15 years. >> mileage targets for passenger cars will increase by two-thirds from about 30 miles per gallon this year to nearly 55 mpg there 2025. which means americans will be able to keep cutting back on their purchases at the pump. and that's where the bad news in this story starts. by definition, more efficient cars use less gas. when drivers buy less gas state and federal governments collect less in gas taxes. but those gas taxes, the federal levy of around 18 cents a gallon in taxes by the state of around 8 and 50 cents a gallon, they pay to maintain highways and bridges across the country. and that's already a huge problem. we begin tonight with that terrifying bridge collapse. >> reporter: take for example the news that broke in may whe

what they've been doing? once again, if they get a nuclear weapon, every country in the area will have a nuclear weapon. the question also comes, president obama spleen, the steel allows them to enrich uranium to a certain point. it only takes a few minutes to go from that point to nuclearization. if that's where you want to have them wear brand two months away from having a nuclear weapon at all times, if that makes everybody happy, that's pretty scary. >> host: back to the "washington post." they also write this. sunni arab states don't object to deal that could curb iran's nuclear objections, but they worry about the ramifications of ties between tehran and washington said one security expert, the big worry he said at a long-term deal normalizing ties between iran and the united states took him at the expense of sunni influence. what do you think about this? expanded a little bit. they like to make friends with our past foes and kind of ignore our allies. this kind of plays into it. the saudi's will not be the greatest country in the world, women still can't vote in saudi arabia. wo

country depends on it. >>> hello, everyone, i'm dana perino along with kimberly guilfoyle and greg gutfeld. it's 5:00 in new york city, and this is "the five oi." it's day two of obama on offense. try to link the gop to the problem of his botched health care rollout. >> between a reckless shutdown by congressional republicans in an effort to repeal the affordable care fact and admittedly poor execution on my administration's part in implementing the latest stage of the new law, nobody's acquitted themselves very well these past few months. so it's not surprising that the american people's frustrations with washington are at an all-time high. >> but not everyone is buying what he's selling. charles krauthammer thinks the president is out of touch. >> obama thinks that he can repeal reality with rhetoric. his trouble is he has trouble governing. and he's faced with a management problem, a government problem. he passed a bill that is so complex, the regulations are so complex and contradictory, he's got a website that is not functioning correctly. and he thinks that if he makes the right spee

undocumented in this country and the record-setting aspects of the obama administration, families separated by deportation. my home was raided by i.c.e. on the same day i began my work in congress. the raid stemmed from a traffic stop. while i.c.e. is supposed to deportations for violent crimes they decided to go after my mother, who has never committed a violent crime. families being separated is nothing new. it is nearing the two million deportation mark. i had the opportunity to meet erica earlier today and i can tell you we will miss her service in this body for the member she worked for. she has her legal status thanks to president obama's deferred action program the result of the inaction of this body that the executive had to take action with the limited authority he has to give temporary reprieve to erica but no such help to her mother. who among us would choose between our job and our family wouldn't choose our family. as erica returns home to arizona, i wish her and her mother well and good luck in ensuring they can stay together in a country i hope values families just as it valu

authority to go start bombing a country. we would consider it an act of war. what gives him that authority, i am curious from each of you. >> it is a great question. no one has accused president obama of being inclined to engage in war without a declaration. i was in court with members of this committee saying exactly that. and whatn or conflict disturbed this is the white house came back and said the reason we do not need a declaration of war is because the president alone defines what a war is. he simply is saying this is not a war. and what we talk about the dangers, this is a danger of a different kind. not only a danger separation of powers and dreck violation of the express image of the constitution but this administration, through these acts and the large number of drone attacks is returning the world to a state of nature. we are taking down article international legal principles. that have governed this world, that have respected territorial limitation. i just spoke to the nato commentary and and i told them, you will loathe the day that you endorsed the u.s. position that they cou
